Mears State Park

Situated in the pretty village of Pentwater, Mears State Park offers a beautiful beach area along the Lake Michigan shoreline. This is a very attractive beach with a designated swimming area and a fine, sandy beach for the whole family to enjoy. While dogs are not allowed into the designated swimming parts of the beach, they are free to enjoy the remainder of the beach with you as long as you keep your pooch on a leash of maximum six feet.

Over the course of the year, there are various events and festivities that are held here. This means you can take in not just the natural beauty of the area but also some exciting events such as the July 4^th parade and the Arts and Crafts Fair. There are even sand sculpture contests held on the beach, all of which makes for a fun family day out.
