Fido may join you on the surf and in the sand, but be sure to keep him on a leash so as not to upset the local Paw Patrol! Mickler's Landing is a natural, untouched space, and lots of species of wildlife, including some rare and endangered ones, make this beach their home. As you meander through the pink-hued "sand," you might even find some shark teeth lost in years gone by. What a great memento of a woofderful day at the beach!
There are many furific things to do at Mickler's Landing, and your favorite canine pal can tag along too. Some of the most pawpular things you might like to consider are sunbathing, surfing, fishing, and swimming. You can even go horseback riding, but to do so, you must obtain a permit...and bring your own horse. Both outdoor showers and public bathrooms are available on the premises.
Thinking a picnic lunch might be just what the dog-tor ordered? Be sure to pack food for a meal or snack on the grounds. Barbecues are provided, so you can even grill up a steak or two. While you're at it, be certain you have some bottled water and clean up bags too.
There is a $10 beach access fee in effect from March 1st through Labor Day weekend if you want to drive on the beach. You can purchase a yearly pass for $50.
