The clear, aquamarine waters of Lake Superior are most inviting. You won't be able to resist slapping on your best barkini and hitting the open waves for a swim. Just be careful as the lake is known for powerful riptides that even advanced swimmers have succumbed to. You'll want to make sure your best canine pal does his doggy paddling nearby, so you can access him quickly if need be.
Lake Superior's waters are known to be quite frosty. If you find them a little too chilly for a dip, you might want to try your hand at fishing as steelhead are known to be plentiful at this pawsitively awesome seaside haven. Fish not biting? That's okay; if you bring a packed lunch, you can still enjoy a picnic along the furrific white sandy coast. Don't forget to include bottled water and some snacks for Fido too! While you're at it, throw a few cleanup sacks and some sunscreen in your beach bag as you will need both.
If you feel like doing a little exploring, you will find some hidden alcoves along the beach that are home to shelves of rock formations and even some doggone amazing waterfalls! You'll definitely want to be certain to snap a few photos of the pawrific scenery. Feeling like checking out the area a little further? Why not stop by the nearby Miner's Castle or take a tour on the sightseeing boat which provides the history of local shipwrecks? You'll have a terrierific time, for sure!
