Old Salt Beach Park

Old Salt Beach Park is located in Palm Coast, Florida. It is a favorite park situated right on the beach and is technically a part of the Ocean Hammock Resort, but can be used by anyone in the area. The beach and the waterfront are not too large, but it still provides enough room for playing in the sand and swimming in the water. We should note the area is not the most suitable for full swimming, but your dog will still have plenty of fun splashing around in the water. 

Along with the water and the beach, you are also close to the coquina rock formations, which are very neat to see and take pictures of! It is the perfect photo-op for your dog's social media accounts. At the beach, you will also find showers, restrooms, and lots of parking spaces. There is a decent amount of sandy area at this beach with soft sands and not many rocks, liter, or other debris on the beach. Fishing is a popular activity for this beach, along with paddleboarding, birding, watching other wildlife, and picnicking. There are not a lot of shady areas due to the lack of trees in the area, so you may want to bring an umbrella with you if you plan to go in the middle of the day, mainly in the summertime. 

Bring your own poop bags so you can clean up after your dog and discard the bag in one of the trash cans located near the restrooms. Your dog should always wear their leash and be well behaved and non-aggressive to other dogs - and humans as well. 

Overall, Old Salt Beach Park is a great place to take your dog to run in the sand and play in the ocean waves. With soft sand and lots of room to roam, their beach time will be filled with fun!
