Parking can be found at an oceanfront lot near the Iron Steamer fishing pier, and at Memorial Park, which features a deck and a picnic table. The parking fee is waived during the week and non-holidays.
This is a pawrfect beach to visit with your pooch, with its strollable wide sandy area, shallow shoreline and warm water. It truly fits the bill for walks, lolling on a blanket with some snacks and a book while Fido naps, and beachside meals. The Oceanana Pier House sits right on the beach and welcomes fur-pups at its outdoor tables.Â
Pine Knolls is one of 5 communities on Bogue Banks, which are all ideally placed facing the Atlantic Ocean to the south. This means not only sun all day, but furtabulous sunrise and/or sundown viewing. Be sure to bring any beach essentials, including water and clean-up bags.
Sitting adjacent to Pine Knoll Shores is the Theodore Roosevelt Natural Area, reaching to Bogue Sound. If you and your fur-baby get restless and are looking for a way to spend a few hours exploring, try the trails there, including the Alice G. Hoffman and Roosevelt Trails. It's a nice change of pace from the sea, sand and sun on the beach!Â
The Pine Knoll Shores Beach offers lots to love, whether you're a vacationer or making a day trip with your pup!
