Roadside Park Beach

Roadside Park Beach is a dog-friendly park and beach located along Blue Star Highway in Coloma, Michigan. Providing access to Lake Michigan, Roadside Park Beach is popular amongst dog lovers, fishers, and boat enthusiasts alike. This natural dune beach offers easy access to the Lake Michigan shoreline, giving you and Fido the chance to cool off from the hot Michigan summers. All dogs must be on a six-foot leash while at the beach and park. 

Referred to as the "Sunset Coast" of Lake Michigan, Roadside Park Beach is a favorite spot of locals and visitors alike. The sunsets are unparalleled, and there is ample space for parking as well as a nice picnic area. 

Keep in mind that there is private property on both sides of the beach, so please be respectful and pick up after your pooch. The beach itself is about 6-8 feet wide from the path to the water, depending on the time of day. It is on the smaller side, so you will need to pay attention and make sure your four-legged friend is on their best behavior. The cozy, little beach boasts a clean shoreline and has space for about 20 cars to park. It is considered one of the quieter beaches in the area, making it ideal for dog owners looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 

Roadside Park Beach offers some trees and shaded area, giving beachgoers the chance to get out of the sun and relax with the sunset. So if you are traveling through southwest Michigan, plan a stop at this picturesque natural dune area and beach for a breath of fresh air and a romp along Lake Michigan - you won't be sorry!
