South Beach State Park
South Beach State Park offers a recreational area, various types of camping accommodations, and a pawsitively awesome beach, ensuring there is something furrific for every member of the family to do. South Beach State Park is very dog-fur-iendly! You can bring Fido with you in the sand and in the sea. Could your fave pooch benefit from some off-leash time? Just be sure to keep your best canine pal on a leash in all other areas of South Beach State Park as the local pawlice will be on the lookout for rogue dogs!
If some adventure on the "high seas" is what the dog-tor ordered, you won't want to miss out on the furrific opportunity to kayak along Beaver Creek. Tours are offered from July through Labor Day. Other wooftastic activities at this barking great beach include fishing, crabbing, surfing, camping, and boating.
South Beach State Park is close to Newport, and there you can find all of the amenities you may need including shops, gasoline, and restaurants. But the beach is the pawfect spot for a picnic! Why not pack a lunch from home and cop a squat on the white sand shores and enjoy the oceanside views along with your meal? Don't forget to include some snacks, bottled water, and clean up bags! There are bathrooms and showers available for pawblic use at this gorgeous seaside retreat.
