South Summit Beach

Looking for a fun place to explore during the dawg days of summer? Why not bring Fido and the whole family to Summit Park Beach? Nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan, this pawsome beach promises a furific time for all visitors, canine or human! This gorgeous spot offers stunning Lake Michigan views and is well-known for its incredible sunsets. Best of all, your pup can tag along with his favorite human pals both on the sandy beach and in the water, but be sure to keep them on a leash!

Summit Park Beach has lots of cool things for families to enjoy. Fido can swim and sunbathe to his heart's content. Thinking a little snack might be in order? Summit Park Beach has picnic areas with grills where families can cook up a feast. Don't forget to pop something on the barbecue for Fido to enjoy too! 

If you were looking to get in a bit of a workout, Summit Park Beach has tennis courts and several different ball fields. Why not bring along a tennis ball for a rousing game of fetch on the grass? Make sure you bring drinking water with you as Fido is sure to have worked up to a pawrific thirst after his day of fun. Bathrooms are provided on the property, but they do not contain access to water. 

Clean up bags are not available at Summit Park Beach, so it's a good idea to grab a few extra before you head out from home. Though the park doesn't specify any rules for pooches stopping by for a visit, it's always a good idea for Fido to be up to date on his vaccinations.
