If a day at the beach sounds like a little piece of paradise, why not plan to visit Stewart Creek Park? This woofderful beach is the ideal place to bring Fido and the fam for a day of fun in the sun. Located in The Colony, and just twenty minutes outside of Dallas proper, you and your best canine pal can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of rural life with the close proximity of city amenities, allowing for a relaxing day by the sea before returning home. 

Fido is warmly welcomed to accompany you in all areas of this pawsitively awesome seaside haven. To be sure to keep on the fur-iendly side of the Dallas pawlice, you'll need to pack a leash and to keep Fido on it at all times. 

Stewart Creek Park is home to a pawtastically stunning lake where you and your fave pooch can take a dip to refresh yourselves from the heat of the day. The shoreline is comprised of sand and offers the pawrfect spot for a stroll, some relaxation, or even to try your hand--or paw!--at a sand castle sculpture. With lots of grass areas to choose from, you won't want for a place to take a walk, and the picnic areas offer both pavilions and tables where you and your main canine squeeze can enjoy a snack together. Since there are no nearby concession stands, you will need to bring a packed lunch and drinking water with you. Don't forget to include some cleanup sacks as you will surely need them!

The sand area by the lake is also home to beach volleyball courts, so you and your pooch can grab a ball and drum up some furiends to join you for a game or two on the sand! Stewart Creek Park is also home to campsites and boat ramps. You can canoe or kayak to your heart's content and maybe even try your hand at a little fishing. Fido may also join you on your fishing adventure, but you'll want to be sure to bring him a snack of his own to keep him out of your bait!

The cost to visit Stewart Creek Park is $7 per day for area residents, and $10 for those residing elsewhere. Yearly passes can be purchased at a cost of $35 for those residing in the region, and $65 for visitors.
