If a little surf and sand sounds like a slice of paradise, you won't want to miss Surfside Beach! A pawsitively awesome beach which rests in a small Brazoria County village of the same name, Surfside Beach, sometimes known simply as Surfside, is a happening place to be! Grab your barkini and your best canine pal and head straight for the clean marine blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico to cool off on a hot summer's day. 

If you fancy yourself more of a land-lubber, you can recline in your beach chair and relax with a great read while Fido creates a sand castle fit for a canine king! No matter your pleasure, Surfside Beach can deliver, and best of all, your favorite furry friend is welcome too. The local paw-lice do regularly patrol the area so be sure to keep Fido on his leash to stay on their fur-iendly side!

There are so many puptastic things to do at Surfside Beach you'll find yourself wishing you and your favorite pooch could stay a whole week! Though a pawr-king lot is available at this seaside haven, you can also drive right up on the sandy shores, but you must have a permit which is displayed on the driver's side windshield portion of your vehicle. There is a $12 annual fee required to park either on the beach or in the provided lot. You'll want to arrive early if you hope to get a pawsome spot as Surfside Beach is a pawpular place and is the destination hotspot in town. 

Surfside Beach is home to some furrific sand dunes. The dunes are a protected space, and there are lots of snakes that make them their home. Be sure to give them a wide berth and to keep Fido at bay, so as not to have to visit the dog-tor for a nasty snake bite! 

You'll want to pack some bottled water, so your best canine pal can take a sip when needed. Don't forget to grab some cleanup bags too.
