If you take about a mile walk up the beach, you will run right into Haystack Rock, which is a towering rock that stands 235 feet into the air! It is indeed a sight to behold. This beach area also has picnic areas to take lunch, dinner, or a snack to enjoy the scenery. Restrooms are located at this site as well, but there is no public outdoor showering area, so keep that in mind with this location. If you are bringing the kids with you, you will also find a fun playground at the recreation site.
Your dog is not required to wear a leash on this beach, but it is recommended that they do, especially when the beach is crowded. You are responsible for your dog's behavior, so they must always be responsive to your commands, be non-aggressive, and be friendly to all people and all other dogs. If you decide not to have your dog on a leash, you must carry a leash in hand or some other type of restraint if you wind up needing it. There may or may not be poop bags at the beach and recreation site, so bring your own just in case there are none. You must always clean up after your dog goes to the bathroom as well.Â
Overall, this dog-friendly beach is the perfect way to spend with your dog at the coast. With soft sand beaches and beautiful views, you and your dog will love spending time together here.Â
