With over 22 acres for Fido to roam, there is ample ground for him to wear off any pent-up doggy energy. The land offers lots of opportunity for pooches and their people to get in a good workout. From sandy dunes and climbing hills to the patio overlooking the beach, Fido and his family are sure to have a pawsome time exploring the shore at Tunnel Park. Be sure to keep your favorite canine pal on a leash as Tunnel Park is not an off-leash zone.
Close to the beach, dogs and their families will find lots of fun things to check out including picnic areas and a playground. Why not make Fido's day and add an extra hot dog to the grill for him to enjoy with his family? The bathrooms on the property feature modern amenities. It's a good idea to stop by one to grab some water, so your best canine buddy can wet his whistle. Tunnel Park doesn't offer any cleanup bags for families to use, so it is important that you remember to bring some from home with you.
Dogs can look forward to sunbathing, swimming, and having fun with their owners at this beach, but they are not allowed in public buildings, bathrooms, picnic areas, or volleyball courts. But never fear, there are lots of trails where Fido can put his nose to good use sniffing out all of the wildlife that makes the area their home!
The cost for Fido and his family to enjoy Tunnel Park is $5 for a daily pass for Michigan residents, and $7 for non-residents. Think you might like to visit more often? Why not buy a yearly pass at a cost of $15 for those residing in Michigan, or $25 for those residing elsewhere?
