This furrific vacation destination offers visitors the opportunity for lakeside camping on the banks of Lake Cascade, and it welcomes furry paws! The lake is surrounded by a dense conifer forest, which makes for a truly enchanting backdrop for camping with your canine companion.

Amanita Campground is a smaller campground that has just six sites and a nightly fee of $15. Each of these sites is equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. Book in advance if you hope to secure a site by the lake! Some of the other amenities available at the campground include drinking water, parking spurs, and trash collection services. RV campers should note that electric hookups aren't available.

While you're here, you'd be barking mad to miss out on the outdoor activities that are available nearby. Lake Cascade is a convenient choice for anglers and boaters, and there is a boat ramp close by for easy access. There are also some trails in the area that you can explore with your furry friend. Arlin Place Trail is a 3.5-mile moderate hike, making it a great choice for your woofer's daily walk. Crown Point Trail is the pawfect option for hound-dog hikers who dig a challenge, especially those who plan to trek the full 10 miles. Local hikers pawsitively love this trail and rave that it's family-friendly and easy to complete. If your hyper hound still has some energy to burn, take one of the side paths that veer off the main trail and enjoy stunning views of Lake Cascade and the woodlands of Boise National Forest along the way.

When you’re staying at Amanita Campground, please respect all of its rules. Dogs should remain on-leash at all times. Always clean up after your pooch as well. Please note that the campground is situated in an active bear zone, so you should make sure all food, waste, and other scented items are safely stored and disposed of in the provided bear-proof receptacles.
