The Ambassador RV Park in Caldwell, Idaho has been in the same family for generations. It began as a vision of Wayne Freedman Sr. and his wife Melva, who dreamed of an RV lifestyle that would spark lifelong friendships and bring families closer together.
What started in Idaho spun off into multiple RV parks throughout the western states, spanning from Idaho to Arizona. Wayne Freedman Sr. enjoyed the mild Idaho summers and the warm winters of Arizona. The company is now run by the children and grandchildren of the original owners.
Set in the scenic high desert climate of western Idaho, the park features 85 full-service RV sites. Rates start at $45 per night. The property features a small lake, a pool with adult-only swim times later in the evening, and a spa. The on-site library offers the opportunity to share books with a book exchange.
Each site includes a picnic table and patio. The heated swimming pool is available for families to enjoy and even has a wading pool for the young kids to wet their feet in.
The Ambassador RV Park is a pet-friendly establishment. As they say, pets are welcome as long as the owner is trained! There is an off-leash area dedicated to giving Fido the exercise and playtime frisky dogs require.
Located just 30 miles from the Boise metro area, Ambassador is nestled in the heart of Idaho wine country. Take a scenic ride through the Selkirk Mountains via the Canyon Loop. Be sure to keep an eye out for bighorn sheep!
A family-friendly nearby attraction is the Wahooz Family Fun Zone. The Roaring Springs water park is adjacent to the Fun Zone, which offers go-carts, laser tag, mini-golf, and an arcade. It is found near the Village at Meridian, a large outdoor shopping mall with a variety of stores and restaurants.
You might come to the Ambassador RV Park for the glorious Idaho scenery, but you'll stay for the life-long friends and fantastic memories you'll make!
