You can count on clean restrooms (flushing toilets included), hot showers, a friendly staff, electric and water hookups, a laundry area, a local tour reservation center, and access to all the local Anchorage activities. The campground is only open during the summer, so expect it to be pretty busy and be sure to make your reservations well in advance.
There are tent sites, pull through sites, dry sites, and water, sewer, and electric sites available with prices ranging from $19 - $59. This campground gives you plenty of access to sights and attractions, day tours, parks and trails, natural features, and scenic day drives.Â
You'll be close to everything Alaska's rugged wilderness has to offer, while still being close enough to one of the largest Alaskan cities if you're looking to shop, eat, and explore an urban area.Â
While dog rules are not specified, it's important that you always keep your pup controlled. If your dog isn't able to behave under voice control, you'll have to leash your doggo. While the campground does not specify a maximum leash length, we suggest keeping your dog's leash no longer than 6 feet in order to have full control over your pup.Â
Be bear aware - you're still in Alaska, no matter how close to the city you are, so you'll need to ensure that you're keeping an eye on your dog and are being extremely cautious if you choose to hike with your dog!
