Ancient Cedars @ Mesa Verde RV Resort

Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park, conveniently located across from the Visitors Center at Mesa Verde National Park, sits on over twelve sprawling acres in Mancos, Colorado. With spectacular views of the Mancos Valley and the national park, you and your furry best friends will truly love getting away from it all and heading to this gorgeous RV area.

The pet-friendly Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park (not to be confused with the Mesa Verde RV Resort, also in Mancos) is surrounded by groves of 1,500-year old cedar trees amongst its facilities. While the park itself is only open from mid-March to October 29, reservations are taken throughout the year. 

Rates vary depending on your length of stay and lodging accommodations, but the average full RV hookup rate for two people per night is $43, including water, electricity, and sewage use. This includes one RV and one vehicle per site, with a $3.50 fee per person six years and up. Tent sites are $30 for two people, with the same additional per extra person fees, and cabins are $65 for two people. Pets are allowed in the cabin, with a $5.00 per pet, per night fee as long as you have prior approval.

Since the RV park itself is situated outside of the National Park, there are no entrance fees, but if you decide to visit the Mesa Verde National Park, be prepared to pay a $7 per person or $15 per vehicle entrance fee. 

The Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park boasts excellent amenities such as a grocery and gift store, pull-through sites with 30 and 50 amps, big rig sites, and shaded campsites with firepits (there are occasional Montezuma County fire bans, so ask ahead if you plan on having a fire). Additionally, guests can use the clean bathroom and shower facilities, pool and hot tub, and laundry facilities.

Entertainment in the park can be found in multiple areas. Fido will love playing off-leash in the fenced half-acre dog park (all other times, pets must be on-leash outside of your vehicle). There's also an 18-hole mini-golf area and free wifi and antenna TV to keep you busy. You can also enjoy use of the recreation hall and two playgrounds.
