Badlands Motel & Campground

The Badlands Motel & Campground is a unique location in that it’s the only campground in South Dakota where you can marvel in the beauty of the Badlands from your own campsite. Located only a mile away from the Badlands National Park, this campground offers guests a rare outdoor experience.

There are a variety of site options available for guests wanting to stay in an RV or tent. RV sites can come either fully loaded with all hookups including sewage, electric, and water, or you can have only water and electric. If you're looking to be off the grid, there are sites with no hookups, just like the tent sites. All campsites come with a picnic table and fire ring, giving you the opportunity to delight in the beauty of the Badlands from your very own campsite. Cabin and tee-pee rentals are also available if you want to try something new. Tee-pees are open at the top so they're not good if rain is in the forecast. Cabins sleep five and also come with a fire-pit and picnic table.

While staying at the Badlands Motel & Campground, you can enjoy the free wireless internet while sitting beside the pool. There is a horseshoe pit, playground, and outdoor games, such as Frisbee golf, for your entertainment. A restaurant is conveniently located right within the grounds in addition to a store where you can buy firewood and other camping supplies.

The Badlands Motel is pet-friendly, so bringing your pooch won't be an issue. Just be sure to bring a leash to keep them near at all times and clean up any mess they make. Dogs are also allowed in the Badlands National Park, so exploring the badlands can be something you do together. Be sure to bring lots of water to keep your pup hydrated, and poop bags for any mess!
