Description

Bridgeview Campground at Rathbun Lake is a furrific vacation destination for dog lovers looking to spend a little time in nature. Most of the sites include electrical hookups and can accommodate either an RV or a tent. Fees range from $14 per night for non-electric sites to $20 per night for 50-amp service. About half of the sites are available to reserve. This wagtastic property offers showers, drinking water, lake access, and fire pits. The facility is on the north side of the reservoir in a grassy area among some shade trees. Find your site and set up camp, then go exploring with your barking buddy.

There's fun for the whole family here both on the water and the land. There's a boat ramp nearby where you can launch your canoe, kayak, or other watercraft. Follow one of the mapped water trails on this body of water. The lake is well-known for its puptacular sailing. Anglers also enjoy coming here for bass, crappie, and walleye. There are three beaches around the water where you can swim for a daily fee of $2.

If you like hiking, check out the North Shore Trail. This 8.2-mile crushed-stone pathway follows Ham Creek from Honey Creek Resort State Park to Prairie Ridge. Travel through woods and prairie and enjoy stunning lake vistas. You may catch sight of deer, turkey, grouse, and other wildlife out here.

Bring your furry pal camping with you. As long as you keep them on a leash and scoop their poop, pups are welcome here. Don't bring them to the beach or in any buildings and always supervise them.

You'll find a variety of recreational activities available for your enjoyment when you camp at Bridgeview Campground. This Rathbun Lake facility provides easy access to boating, fishing, and hiking. Tour the Rathbun Fishery near the main dam and see the catfish and walleye. For more information, contact the entrance station during the open season. When the campground is closed, you can call the Rathbun Lake office at 641-647-2464.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
