Description

Welcome to Camp Lakewood Campground and RV Park, a scenic nirvana with a showstopper lake where the fun never ends. Your vacation awaits at this rustic hideaway with secluded RV sites under a canopy of forest trees featuring gravel pads with full hook-ups to electricity (30/50 amp), water, and sewer. There are pull-through and back-in choices with a picnic table and fire-ring for barbequing, while access to wifi and cable TV are also included in a daily rate of $45. Backpackers will be in awe of the forest atmosphere, the ideal tent setting for a night among the trees at a nightly rate of $26.

The lounge bar is a real treat where campers can enjoy a drink and pizza, then walk back to their RV, tent, or cabin. Cabins come fully furnished with a kitchen, bathroom, and homey comforts. Mom, Dad, and the kids might prefer an open-plan cabin with bunk beds and a table setting for family meals. Why not get away from it all with a holiday in the Lakehouse, a 3-bed, magical space overlooking Pauline Lake with beach access in an exclusive waterfront setting?

Bow-wow besties get to stay with their guardians, who are asked to keep them on a leash and clean up their waste. Furry pals must be attended to at all times and exhibit paw-fect manners to guests and other dogs. Daily walks in the woods are sure to inspire your pooch with new scents and trees to explore.

Kids have an awesome playground to enjoy, while restrooms, showers, and a laundry facility are nicely maintained. The real star is the lake, where kayaking, canoeing, and fishing offer campers a truly memorable time. Cruise the shimmering lake in a rental rowboat, then stop by the camp store for groceries and gifts to take back home.

The eclectic city of Effingham is a stone's throw away, offering campers the best of all worlds as they leave their country retreat to discover a goldmine of antique shops, flea markets, and boutique stores. That’s not all, as this is a city of sculptures home to a magnificent crucifix that stands almost two hundred feet tall. The yearly Corvette Festival is a huge draw and reason to book into Camp Lakewood Campground, a diverse RV Park with 5-star friendly staff and peak times in the summer and holidays.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
