Description

If you're looking for a camping getaway in Idaho, Cold Spring Campground is the perfect place for you. A pet-friendly campground located only 10 miles from the town of New Meadows Idaho, Cold Springs provides its visitors with access to the Lost Valley Reservoir.

At the grounds, you will find a variety of single and double sites that accommodate families, as well as 2 group sites that allow for 50 and 75 guests, making it an ideal gathering location. Campsites can accommodate both tents and RVs, however, there are no sewer, water, or electric hookups available. Two campsites are completely handicap accessible, making Cold Spring Campground a place everyone can visit. The campground is equipped with drinkable water you can access using a hand pump, vault toilets, fire rings, and grills that visitors are welcome to use at their own convenience.

Campsites are found in an open meadow with ponderosa pines and fir trees lining the sites. Some of the trees are mature enough to provide adequate shade, but not all sites have shaded areas, so preparing for the sunny conditions is recommended. On the bright side, whenever you're getting too hot, you can always take a dip in the reservoir.

At the reservoir, only 3/4 of a mile away, you can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including boating, with a boat ramp located on the southeast side of the reservoir, canoeing, swimming, and fishing. Back at the campground, you and your family can entertain yourself with the horseshoe pit and self-play area.

You can also take your pup on a hike through the many trails nearby, but remember to keep them on a leash at all times, bring water so they stay hydrated, and clean up any mess your pup makes. Keep in mind when packing that the facility is a pack it in, pack it out facility, meaning whatever garbage you bring, you also take with you when you leave.

If you’re in Idaho and looking for a real outdoor camping experience, stop into Cold Springs!
