Deer Grove RV Park

Located four miles east of El Dorado in south-central Kansas, Deer Grove RV Park is a pet-friendly campground that's open all year round. It offers a total of 90 sites -- 45 full hookups, 16 pull-through sites, and 29 back-in sites -- as well as a fenced dog park for canine guests.

A quiet and shaded park, Deer Grove offers free cable and WiFi for all sites. Some sites may be a little close together for the liking of some campers, but this is generally a quiet and well-maintained park where you can stop in for a night or two with a minimum of fuss.

The showers and restrooms are always in good condition, while the high level of customer service provided by the owners is regularly praised by visitors. There's also an area for tent campers for those who won't be staying in the comfort of an RV, while picnic tables and a portable fire ring are also provided. RV sites start from $36 per night for a 30-amp site or $39 for a 50-amp site.

If you're traveling with your canine pal, you'll be pleased to know that dogs are always welcome at Deer Grove RV Park. There's a small enclosed dog park where your pooch can enjoy some off-leash play, but they'll need to be kept leashed throughout the rest of the campground. As always, cleaning up after your dog is a must.

Another of the park's main attractions is "The Clubhouse", a reception hall/event facility that accommodates 80 people. It features air conditioning, a kitchen, and restrooms that are accessible for people with disabilities, making it a useful venue for anyone traveling as part of a larger group or maybe planning a family reunion.

Hunting, fishing, and water sports are also on offer within a couple of miles of the park -- El Dorado Lake is just a short drive to the north -- so there's plenty to keep outdoor enthusiasts happy.
