Description
East Meadow Campground is located in Tahoe National Forest and sits right next to the Jackson Meadow Reservoir. The campground and the immediate surrounding area feature a forested valley that provides breathtaking views of the Sierra Crest and the English Mountains. The campground is also right on the lake, making for a peaceful and relaxing environment. The sites are also covered by various pine trees that provide lots of shade and privacy while you are camping.

There is an abundance of activities and recreation that you have access to from the campground as well, including hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, boating, and trying your skills at some watersports on the 1000-acre lake. The popular Pacific Crest Trail also runs partially next to the lake, so you can hop on and hike, bike, or just nature and wildlife-watch. Hunting is also allowed in this area, so if you are bringing your dog, make sure to keep them on a leash and never leave them unattended so they are protected from the hunters in the area.

At the actual campground, you will have access to single and double sites that all have a picnic table and a campfire ring. You will also find vault toilets and fresh drinking water at the site. Even more amenities on hand include a food locker, firewood vendor, camp host, paved parking spurs, and a self-pay station. Fires are allowed, but there may be some fire restrictions at the time of your visit, so check to make sure what those are before you proceed with making fires during your camping trip.

Overall, East Meadow Campground sits in an ideal location filled with lots of outdoor activity options, scenic views, and spacious, shaded campsites. We are sure you wil not be disappointed with your stay!
