Description

Just like its sister campground at Mary’s Lake, Estes Park Campground at East Portal in Colorado offers guests close access to the remarkable Rocky Mountains and the town of Estes Park.

Dogs are permitted at all Estes Park Campground locations, including the East Portal location. You’re asked to abide by the rules set out by the campground for dogs. This includes keeping your pup on a leash at all times that is no longer than ten feet. You’re also expected to tidy up all waste made by your pooch, but luckily, dog bags are provided throughout the park.

This campground is perfect for small trailers, tents, and RVs. If you have a larger rig, check out Estes Park at Mary's Lake, where you will find accommodations for larger vehicles. At this campground, rates start as low as $35 for basic RV or tent sites, which come with no hookups. You also have the option of having water and electric if you're tent camping, for a slightly higher cost.

For RVs, both pull-through and back-in sites are offered for convenience, but only vehicles smaller than 24 feet in length are permitted in this campground. All sites come with picnic tables and fire rings. There is also fire food and ice available for your convenience. As the area is frequently visited by bears, food storage containers are recommended but are not offered in the grounds.

When visiting Estes Park Campground at East Portal, you can look forward to the various outdoor opportunities available. These include hiking the many trails nearby, including the Wind River Trail and others found within the Rocky Mountain National Park. If you're an angler, you'll be pleasantly surprised to learn that the East Portal Reservoir offers fishing close by.

The Rocky Mountain National Park is a must-see, and Estes Park Campground at East Portal offers visitors an opportunity to camp close by while enjoying the perks of the grounds. If you're looking to visit Colorado, be sure to check out this campground with your pooch!
