Description

You'll find the Evergreen Campground alongside the Weiser River in Council, Idaho right off of Highway 95. The river quiets the sounds from the highway so campers are treated with a peaceful oasis and plenty of shade from mature trees around the campground. You can camp in a single site for just $10 a night, or secure a double site for only $15. Some sites accommodate up to 15 people, and there are paved parking spurs for your vehicles.

Pets are allowed to stay at Evergreen Campground, as long as their humans follow a few simple rules. Always keep your pet on a leash when they're not in your vehicle and clean up after them. Guests will need to clean up after themselves, too, and are asked to bring their own garbage bags -- the campground has a pack-it-in, pack-it-out policy.

The campground was recently renovated, and each spot at Evergreen Campground has a tent pad, picnic table, campfire ring, and four of the 12 sites are accessible. Drinking water is available, but there are no electric or water hookups, dump stations, or showers.

There are plenty of fun ways to spend your time during your stay at Evergreen Campground. Head to the Weiser River Trail and hike, horseback ride, or bike short stretches of this 84-mile path if you're not up for the entire trail. Your journey on the path will take you past breathtaking mountain views, and all the while, you'll get to breathe in the sweet scent of the pine trees. Anglers will find the Weiser River to be a great place to catch rainbow trout, and there are several other fishing and hiking facilities near the campground.

June to September is the busiest time of year to visit Evergreen Campground, so reservations are encouraged. If you're a last-minute camper, some first-come-first-served spots are available as well.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
