This furrific campground is pet-friendly, so you can spend some quality time with your canine companion while immersing yourself in the campground’s beautiful forest setting overlooking the Mississippi River. You'll have access to the area's excellent outdoor activities as well as the campground's own top-notch amenities during your stay.
There are 51 campsites at Fisherman’s Corner; they are arranged around two loops to the north and south of the campground’s entrance. Tent-only, nonelectric sites cost $14 per night, and standard electric sites cost $20. Campfire rings and picnic tables are provided at the campsites. Other amenities include drinking water, horseshoe pits, showers, vault restrooms, and a playground. Throughout your stay, your furry friend should remain leashed at all times.
There are lots of things to do in and around Fisherman’s Corner. You can stop by some of the area’s dog-friendly trails for a relaxing stroll or a challenging hike! The Great River Trail is a good one — it connects to the campground and runs along the Mississippi River. It will take you through forest and marsh ecosystems all the way to Rapids City. The trail also connects to quite a few other trails if you and your pooch want to keep exploring; these include Grand Illinois Trail and Mississippi River Trail. If you want to enjoy some aquatic activities on the river, you can head to Fisherman’s Corner Day Use Facility. There, you can find a canoe ramp and fishing areas. Need more to explore? When you’re staying at Fisherman’s Corner, please remember to clean up after your dog. Also, if you’re planning on using a discount card at the campground, note that you’ll need to show ID.
