The Gem State RV Park is a beautiful place to camp in Mountain Home, Idaho that puts guests near all sorts of fun outdoor activities, like fishing and hiking at nearby parks. In addition to RV camping, the park also has cabin and tent camping to accommodate all types of visitors. Sites are spacious, with many offering privacy fences, and guests can choose from sites with plenty of amenities or opt for a more rustic experience. No matter what kind of site you choose, the park welcomes furry guests, so bring your dog along! Just keep them on a leash and always clean up after them.
RV sites include pull-through or back-in options, and some sites accommodate vehicles up to 100 feet. Guests can choose from 20, 30, or 50-amp electric hookups, and cable TV and WiFi are also offered. Choose from a deluxe tent site with water, electricity, a barbecue, and picnic table, or go for a rustic tent site with a barbecue and picnic table on a grass pad. The camping cabins don't have kitchens, but they have air and heat and sleep up to four people. Just be sure to bring your own linens! You can also help yourself to the park's updated restroom, laundry, and hot shower facilities during your stay.Â
About half an hour from the park, you'll find some of the best fishing in the state at the Boise River's South Fork. The Snake River Reservoir is also nearby, where you can hike, swim, or enjoy other water sports. Mountain Home's own city park, complete with a dog park and a public swimming pool, is only a block from the Gem State RV Park, so be sure to check it out!
Rustic tent sites start at $24.84 per night, but you can get a spot with hookups for only $27. Full hookup sites start at $37.80, and the cabin can be rented for $45 per night. If you plan on staying a week or more at Gem State RV Park, be sure to inquire about extended stay rates!
