Glade Creek Campground

Glade Creek Campground is a public campground located in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest in Kooskia, Idaho. The cozy campground offers group camping and features four sites situated on a few acres of land for visitors to enjoy. The campground sits by a bend of the Glade Creek that runs down to the Lochsa River, making it a prime location for fishing enthusiasts, rafters and kayakers. For hiking and biking fans, three trails can be found within two miles of the campground. 

The primitive campground is nestled away among lush bushes and mature conifers that provide plenty of privacy and shade for the campground’s patrons. The campground can accommodate tents and RVs up to 24 feet in length. The campground is equipped with a vault toilet and gravel parking that can hold up to eight vehicles. There are no water, electricity or sewage hookups available. Out of the four available sites, two sit right by the water and overlook the beautiful river. Each site comes with a fire ring, large picnic table, and tent pads. 

The campground is pet-friendly, meaning your four-legged family member will not have to sit out on any weekend trips with the rest of the family. From exploring the hiking trails, swimming, or cooling off by the river, there are plenty of activities you and your canine can participate in. Please make sure to supervise your dogs at all times and clean up after them. 

Although there isn't much in terms of civilization nearby, the town of Lowell is located eight miles away from the campground. It features several conveniences, such as a grocery store, a gas station, and a few restaurants.

The campsites are $50 per night and can accommodate up to five people. Reservations can be made at the ranger station, so make sure to call in advance to book your site.
