It is no surprise that Grand View is one of Idaho’s most popular campgrounds. Campers who want to experience the state’s amazing outdoors scene are drawn to Grand View because of its convenient location near recreation sites for hiking and fishing and, of course, its picturesque setting in Idaho’s backcountry. If you were looking for the perfect spot for your next camping trip, you’ve found it! And you can bring your dog along to keep you company — the campground is pet-friendly.
Grand View Campground houses seven single sites and one double site, and all of the sites have electric hookups. The nightly fee for a single site is $20, and the fee for a double site is $40. The sites are equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills, and you also have access to the campground’s drinking water and trash collection services throughout your stay.
There are lots of ways for you to fill your time while you’re staying at Grand View. Stop by one of the area’s many trails for a pleasant hike. You will have the chance to see some of the amazing wildlife native to the region, like moose, elk, marmots, and more. If bird watching is your thing, see if you can spot an eagle or osprey. Head to Mesa Falls to snap a picture of the amazing waterfalls from one of the overlooks. The area also has some small lakes and streams where you can go fishing.
Remember that your dog must remain leashed throughout your stay and Grand View Campground. Also, be sure to clean up after your dog. Note that you are in an area with bears and coyotes — make sure to store and dispose of food safely.
You and your dog will have an amazing time and Grand View, and you’ll see why so many campers choose to stay there every season!
