Description
As its namesake suggests, Gull Lake Recreation Area is located on Gull Lake in Minnesota. It is famous for being the largest of the 10 lakes on the Gull Chain. Gull Lake offers many activities and amenities to make your camping experience as easy as possible. In terms of amenities, Gull Lake offers flush toilet facilities, showers, drinking water, electric hookups, firewood, a visitor center, and even a washer and dryer! 

As far as activities go, the list is long. There is a wonderful beach to lounge at or fish on, as well as a boat ramp to bring your boat out on the lake. They also have a fish cleaning station if you catch something that looks yummy! 

If you are camping with little ones,  Gull Lake offers a fun playground to make this area even more family-friendly. If you're feeling the need to get further into nature, there are countless hiking and biking trails as well, so there really is an activity for just about anyone at Gull Lake. And if you're looking to just relax and take in the gorgeous scenery that Mother Earth provides, there is access to a wonderful scenic overlook at the campground. 

As you camp and hike in this beautiful area, be sure to look out for the abundance of wildlife around you at every turn. Likely to be spotted are bald eagles, otters, deer and many different kinds of birds. One special call that you might be lucky to hear is that of the Common Loon, which is famous for its various calls that sound like yodels. 

Gull Lake Recreation Area is located to other attractions you might want to stop by as well! Among these are golf courses, the 100-mile Paul Bunyan trail, amusement parks, and shopping spots as well.
