The lake is the park's focal point and ideal for swimming, boating, and fishing. A sand beach is open from late-May to mid-September, while Hills Creek Lake has three boat mooring areas with a total capacity of 30 boats. If you're planning on casting a line, the lake is home to a wide range of warm-water species.
When you're not on the water, there are 5.5 miles of hiking trails to explore. The 3-mile Lakeside Trail is the most popular, while cross-country skiing is permitted on all trails during the winter months.
