Description

If your vacation dream is a campground in a blissful country setting complete with endless accommodation choices and activities, you might want to book your summer retreat at Holiday Trav-L-Park.

This colossal campground boasts 1,000 sites and sandy beaches within a mile-and-a-half of the grounds for the discerning camper who'll feel like a kid in a candy store with so many options to choose from. Visitors can park their RV under established shade trees on a level, gravel pad with partial or full hook-ups to electricity (30/50 amp), water, sewer, wi-fi, and cable TV.

The park's premium sites include a pull-through concrete pad, with enough space to comfortably fit the larger rigs and accommodate a picnic table and fire ring. Depending on your site location and time of year, the daily rate is between $25 and $90. The attention to detail is immeasurable, with the hosts offering cozy tent sites for backpackers seeking a new adventure and rustic cabins, with daily rates averaging between $49 and $100.

There are modern restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities, as well as two large stores offering groceries, gifts, and accessories. The park has a small-town atmosphere with everything you need for a fun-filled stay, including 5 swimming pools, with one exclusively for toddlers, mini-golf, basketball, and volleyball, along with an array of children’s playgrounds, horseshoes, and indoor pool tables. All eyes are on the sky when local jets fly overhead, a novel happening in an otherwise peaceful resort.

Holiday Trav-L-Park is family-friendly, and that includes the family pooch, who gets pampered with two fun dog parks separating the little paws from the larger breeds, with litter bags on request. Outside the RV and pooch run, an on-leash rule applies, with doggy etiquette appreciated.

The park has a direct path to Virginia Beach via a daily trolley or bike trail, where the good times roll as your tail-wagging woofer is allowed off-leash here in every season other than summer, when they can walk along the boardwalk on a leash.

Peak times at Holiday Trav-L-Park are the summer months, so it's wise to book ahead.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
