Description

Are you and your pooch searching for a place that has majestic forests, peaceful lakes, and killer off-road vehicle trails? Jericho Mountain State Park in New Hampshire mixes scenic views with outdoor fun, as it's totally ATV and 4x4-friendly! Though you may come to tear up the dirt with your pals, the incredible lookouts and easy access to the water make this spot prime for camping, too.

The grounds may not be big, but they have something for everyone, with tent sites, RV sites, cabins, and shelters all being offered within the park. As the park is fairly new, the restroom facilities are modern -- and well-maintained (thankfully!). You'll also have access to a fire pit and a picnic table at your site, and drinking water is provided at this campground. When it comes to garbage disposal, keep in mind that Jericho Mountain has a carry-in, carry-out policy -- meaning it's up to you to bring all of your trash out of the park after your stay.

To enter the property, visitors must pay a $4 entrance fee. Camping fees start at $25 for a site, $29 for a lean-to, and over $50 for a cabin rental -- however, when booking, remember that our furry friends are not allowed inside of the cabins.

Jericho Mountain doesn't just permit off-roading, it encourages it! The annual Jericho ATV Festival is held here, attracting mudders from all around to partake in all of the messy fun they can handle. When you're not burning rubber, head to Jericho Lake -- a peaceful haven free of cranked motors. Here, you can canoe and kayak on top of the waves or swim in the water below. A sandy beach makes for the perfect place to lay around, and the nearby playground is ideal for kiddos.

Your pupper is more than welcome to come along for the fun, but the park does ask that you keep them leashed. Also, remember that you have to carry out all mess -- including pet waste -- with you when you exit the park.

For a camping trip with all of the revs you can handle, check out Jericho Mountain State Park!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
