Description

The Kenny Lake Mercantile and RV Park is a charming, tiny RV and tent park in the heart of Copper Center, Alaska. A quaint little spot, it's likely you and your pup will find yourself at home here amongst the warmth of the hospitable owners. This park is only equipped with 9 pull-through sites in a wooded area, 10 electric sites in an open area, and a few tent sites with pads in the wooded area, so it's recommended you reach out for reservations to ensure you get the spot you want! Daily rates start at $15.

There are hotel rooms available if you and your pup so choose to opt out of the camping lifestyle. What's more, there's a laundry room with plenty of washers and dryers, a fully functioning gas station, and a fresh cafe that makes food with local ingredients (they're pretty famous for their homemade pies, or so we hear). Not only that, but you'll also have a spectacular view of the Wrangell Mountain Range.

As far as pets go at this unique resort, you're welcome to bring your doggos along. The restrictions are pretty limited, but it's important to remember that you're in Alaska, so some self-regulated restrictions are going to be important. For starters, always keep your dog with you and on their leash. This is less about keeping your dog from annoying fellow campers and more about safety -- in Alaska, there's all kinds of wildlife that would love an unsuspecting pooch to wander off, so keeping an eye on your dog at all times is imperative. Additionally, you'll need to clean up after your dog's mess, too. This is something you'd probably normally do, but there's less room for error as doggo messes (when left) can attract dangerous wildlife. Ensure you're always cleaning up and keeping a close watch on your pooch!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
