Description

Keyhole State Park surrounds the clear waters of the Keyhole Reservoir in Crook County, Wyoming. It's a beautiful recreational area popular with visitors all year round, and your pooch is more than welcome to join you for a relaxing camping vacation.

Watersports are undoubtedly the highlight for most visitors to the park. Whether you like swimming, fishing, sailing, or just getting out on the water, you'll find plenty of opportunities to do all of the above during your stay. The reservoir provides approximately 14,720 acres of water-based recreational space, and anglers in particular frequent the park in the hope of catching something big. Walleye, catfish, smallmouth bass, and northern pike are all present below the surface.

Wildlife watchers will also find plenty to enjoy in this beautiful part of the world. White-tailed deer and wild turkeys are commonly sighted, while there's also an amazing variety of birdlife that either calls this area home or migrates through the region.

Keyhole State Park boasts 10 campgrounds with a total of 286 campsites for RVs and tents. Facilities vary depending on the campground you choose, so make sure to do your research before reserving your spot.

If you're planning a pet-friendly camping trip, the good news is that your pooch is permitted in the park and on your campsite. However, you'll need to abide by all rules and regulations concerning pets throughout your stay. These include keeping your dog on a leash of six feet or shorter and ensuring that your pet is under control and never left unattended. As always, make sure you remember to clean up after your dog whenever necessary.

If you like getting out on the water or just spending time in the great outdoors, Keyhole State Park is well worth checking out. Stop by and stay a night or three the next time you're camping in Wyoming with your canine pal.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
