Description

The La Mesa RV Park is a campground unlike any other. Not only does it have amazing amenities, allow you to bring your pup along, and provide you with cozy accommodations, but it's also in one of the most convenient locations in the country for exploring both the Rocky Mountains and the desert of the Southwest.

There are several tent camping spots available at this campground, but they're also well-equipped with RV spots. Though this relatively small park has less than 40 spots, it provides full-service sites (including 50 amp service throughout the park), large pull-through sites, and friendly service. Rates for tent campers start at $24.05 per night.

Another cool feature of this park? They have Tesla and electric car charging stations -- if you're zipping around the country in your electric car, you can certainly give it some juice here! As we said, your dog can come with you on this adventure, but you are required to keep them on a leash. There may also be some breed restrictions, so be sure to call ahead before making a reservation to confirm your pooch can tag along.

We could spend all day talking about the recreation nearby, the adventures you can have, and the attractions that are in the area -- but we'll just highlight a few of the absolute must-sees. For example, from the campground, you're less than 10 miles from both the Mesa Verde National Park as well as the Anasazi Heritage Center. You're also less than 45 miles away from the Canyon of the Ancients National Monument, Four Corners Monument (a must-visit), Durango, and the Hovenweep National Monument.

Willing to drive a little further? You can explore places like Denver, Moab, Arches National Park, and the Natural Bridges National Monument. You are truly at the most convenient location for exploring the Colorado Rockies as well as the desert Southwest -- you can explore in any direction for miles with this campground as your base camp. Whether you want to hike, bike, birdwatch, ATV, and more, this is the perfect site to set up your camp!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
