Description

Featuring 400 campsites across three different sections of the park, Lake Pueblo State Park is an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts all year-round. You can enjoy being surrounded by nature while still being just a short drive from Pueblo City, ensuring you have access to all of the shopping, restaurants, and attractions the city has to offer.

Lake Pueblo State Park provides a wealth of recreational opportunities to campers and visitors alike. A variety of trails offer ample hiking options, and many of them are open to mountain bikers. Boat ramps on the north and south end provide easy access to the lake, allowing you to simply float along the water or enjoy a journey to explore the area.

During the summer, a number of educational programs are hosted at the park. Guided tours are available along the nature trails, and Star Parties allow you and your family to take in the sights after the sun sets. Anglers also have a lot to look forward to if they head to Lake Pueblo State Park. The area provides opportunities to catch bass and walleye, two very popular options.

Picnic tables and pavilions are scattered throughout Lake Pueblo State Park. The pavilions, which can be reserved for an additional fee, provide you with access to electricity and two charcoal grills, though you do need to supply your own charcoal.

Dogs are welcomed everywhere in Lake Pueblo State Park except for the swim beach. If you bring your canine companion along on your trip, they must remain on a leash that is no longer than six feet at all times. Additionally, you must remove all pet waste during your stay at Lake Pueblo State Park. Not only is this the law, but it ensures the area remains clean, guaranteeing that others don’t have their trips marred by your dog’s waste.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
