There is a choice of pull-through or back-in access, with lucky campers scoring the premium, waterfront sites.

Full connections to electricity (30/50 amp), water, sewer, and wi-fi offer the comforts of home for an all-inclusive daily rate of $30. Backpackers may be able to set up a tent for $20 a night.

All eyes are on the showstopper Lake Oelwein that gets a lot of attention with a sandy beach, the perfect spot to build a sandcastle, plus a menu of fishing, swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Guests can look forward to playing horseshoes, volleyball, mini or Frisbee golf, while kiddie campers can enjoy a playground and fun rides on the pedal carts and tractor train.

Restrooms, showers, and a coin laundry facility are immaculate. The resort also offers pristine grounds and a welcoming woof to the family pooch! The hosts ask pet guardians to keep RV pups on a leash and pick up all their waste. The beach and resort buildings are out of paws-reach, but the park-like setting is pawfect for daily woofer walks. A 3-minute drive takes you to Oelwein, a rural area offering entry to Backbone State Park and an Amish village in the nearby settlement of Hazleton. The Oelwein Railway Museum preserves the area’s history as a railway hub, while Oelwein also features a hiking/biking trail that will eventually connect all the parks in town. It’s also a dog-friendly walk for leashed pups.
