Description

Dive into the Pocono Mountains of Pensylvania at the Lehigh Gorge Campground. This privately owned facility brings all of the comforts of home to the great outdoors, allowing visitors to camp in style just moments from excellent hiking, rafting, and mountain biking opportunities. Experience how nature has reclaimed this extraordinary area that was once the heart of booming industries.

Back at the campground, stay at one of the 173 campsites accommodating the various size needs of all campers. A large tent-only area is reserved for those that dig fabric dwellings, although keep in mind that woofers aren't welcome on those lots. The vast majority of the sites are suitable for RVs and trailers and offer full hookups. All of these lots permit pooches as well. Wifi is availableĀ to all campers along with an individual picnic table and fire ring for each camping party. A camp store is set up on-site to help you restock without leaving the property, and a dump station is provided for eliminating your used water.

The outdoor adventures offered here are endless! Without even leaving the campground, you can fill your days with walks around the lake, swims in the pool, and action-packed games of volleyball. Kids will love hanging out in the giant playground, and the nearby pavilion is a great place to hold an event. Just outside the property lies Lehigh Gorge State Park -- home of the Lehigh River, which pours out into countless waterfalls along the floor of the gorge. Rafting down this river is a fun pastime for many, as is hiking the numerousĀ trails that wind through the park.

As mentioned, pups are more than welcome to stay at this facility as long as they are in the RV/trailer area. Also, the grounds ask that you keep your furry friend on-leash throughout your stay and clean up all waste they leave behind.

If you're itching to get out into the Lehigh Gorge, Lehigh Gorge Campground is an excellent place to stay.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
