Description

Luby Bay is situated in a densely wooded region that provides overnight guests with plenty of views of the nearby Selkirk Mountains. The area offers fishing, swimming, scuba diving, water skiing, and birding among its full list of recreational options.

There are two parts to Luby Bay, the upper and lower sections. Upper Luby Campground provides paved roads as well as gravel parking spurs, while Lower Luby has paved spurs for vehicles and access to waterfront campsites. Prices for all of these sites are the same and come primitively styled, without electrical or water connections. Sites seen here contain a campfire ring as well as a picnic table. If you're bringing your dog along for your overnight stay, make sure you've got them on a leash shorter than 6 feet while keeping them clear of all indoor areas. Canines must stay inside of your tent or RV throughout the evening.

There's an almost 4-mile thoroughfare that takes potential boaters onto the nearby Upper Priest Scenic Area, which isn't accessible by car. Kayaks, canoes, and power boats are all welcome on these waters as long as guests come bearing proper registration. If you've got your dog along for your trip, keep them out of the water and consider bringing a doggie life jacket.

There's an 8-mile trail that's accessible from Luby Bay called Beach Trail #48. This scenic trail winds its way around the southern part of the nearby Priest Lake and offers visitors a chance to take in the varied natural scenery. If you're looking to bring your canine along, they need to be leashed up at all times. There are refuse bins located on these trails, so make sure to clean up any messes they might leave behind.

It's important to remember that any activities or parks located outside of Luby Bay may require additional costs. Be sure to consider this if you're looking to plan an overnight stay.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
