If you're looking for somewhere new to camp out in Colorado, look no further than Mesa Verde RV Resort! This RV park is located in Mancos, and if the name didn't clue you in, it's located just outside of Mesa Verde National Park. This campground has it all. There are full-service facilities on-site, which include a laundromat and a general store that carries groceries and other necessities. During warmer months, enjoy a dip in the campground's pool or make use of the spa. There are trails that lead to a nearby pond as well.Â
There's also plenty to do nearby the campground, too. Go for a hike at Mesa Verde National Park, or visit the Cortez Cultural Center to see Native American artifacts. If you want to make it seem like you visited a lot of places during your trip, head to Four Corners National Monument! If you stand in the center, you can simultaneously be in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. How pawesome is that?
Fido is welcome to join you at the park! Your dog is always welcome to camp with you in an RV or tent, but only some cabins are dog-friendly. Make sure you select the correct one while making a reservation. Tent sites start at $28.95 per night. There's a dog-walking area out near the trails leading toward the pond. As always, make sure your dog remains on their leash at all times, and remember to clean up after your pet. Many campers run around barefoot, and it'd be unfortunate if they were to step into something.Â
One downside to Mesa Verde RV Resort is the campground's cell phone reception. Many visitors say that even the main cell phone providers don't get a good signal while camping. However, if you make the quick drive into town, your service should return. This is good to know during emergencies.
Whether you want to find adventure or just relax, Mesa Verde National Park is the pawfect spot for you and Fifi!
