Molly Brown Campground lies just five miles outside of Leadville in the heart of Colorado. The campground sits beside Turquoise Lake, a beautiful lake spanning almost 2,000 acres that was named after the turquoise deposits discovered nearby. Molly Brown Campground’s perfect location makes it one of the most popular campgrounds in central Colorado. The campground is also pet-friendly, so you can even bring your pooch along too!

The campground houses 47 sites arranged in two loops, and each site can accommodate up to eight people. The standard nightly fee is $24, but there are nine sites that have a $26 fee. If you don’t plan on staying overnight, a campsite can be used during the day for $7. The campground offers a number of useful amenities for campers. A pressurized water system provides drinking water at the campground. You can also find picnic tables, campfire rings with grates, and vault restrooms on the premises.

The campground is a fantastic place to hang out and enjoy the relaxing experience of Colorado camping, but there are so many great recreation sites nearby that you might want to venture out. Turquoise Lake is a great choice because it is so close to the campground, and you can fish, boat, or swim there. You can also take a walk around the Turquoise Lake Nature Trail that runs 1.2 miles through the forest near the lake. The trail is a great place to stretch your legs and catch a glimpse of some of the great wildlife that populates the area.

When you are camping at Molly Brown Campground, please remember that your dog must remain leashed at all times. Also, the campground is located in an active bear area, so you should store and dispose of food safely.
