My Brother's Campground is the perfect location for Canadian and American travelers looking for easy access to the border. This campground is located in Houlton, Maine, only 2 miles from New Brunswick, Canada. Being situated not far from the Trans-Canada highway gives American travelers all sorts of options if they are planning to come into Canada.
Campsites at My Brother's Place are spacious, grassy, and clean. Most of the 75 sites have a pull-thru and can accommodate RV trailers or tents. 50 sites come with full hookups for water, sewage, and electricity, with 30 and 50 amp options. There are also water or electric-only sites available, and 25 tent-only sites. One cabin rental is available. All sites come with a picnic table and fire-ring, but outside wood is not permitted.Â
Within the park, you will find a variety of amenities including a laundry station and bathhouse. The bathhouse offers hot showers and flush toilets, modernizing your outdoor experience. You will also find a games room and rec hall that can be used by groups for gatherings, dances, and dinners.
Pets are permitted on the campsite, so feel free to bring your pooch. You are asked to keep your pup on a leash while strolling the grounds, and of course, tidy up after them. Dogs are permitted to take a dip with you in one of the ponds located right within the grounds. Boating is permitted on the ponds, and so is fishing and swimming.
Although there are a variety of ponds surrounding the campground, you also have the option of swimming in a chlorine pool just down the street at a nearby hotel for $5 a day. You can use their exercise facility as well, before or after your take your dip! Other outdoor recreation includes horseshoes, a playground and bike rentals. There are various trails for hiking and biking.
