Acadia National Park is a popular destination in Maine, and since it is located on Mount Desert Island, there are so many water and wildlife activities for guests to participate in. At Seawall Campgrounds, guests can enjoy the forest - full of beautiful plants and animals with only a short walk to the Atlantic Ocean and the beach. Seawall Campgrounds offer both RV and tent camping options for those who are interested. There are group camping options as well. Additionally, the campgrounds offer accessible sites so everyone can enjoy the wilderness that Maine has to offer. Reservations can be made up to 6 months prior to your stay at the campgrounds.
There are restrooms with flush toilets on-site. The campgrounds also give guests access to drinking water, fire rings, a dump station, and a shuttle bus service. This is a fairly primitive camping area, but these amenities make it a good place for campers that just need access to the most basic facilities.
Within a 30 minute drive, there are all kinds of fun activities such as boating, fishing, shopping, eating, museum touring, and more. Whale watching is also popular in the area. If you don't want to trek out that far, the ocean is just a short walk away. On the beach, you can rent bikes and kayaks for entertainment. Swimming and lounging on the beach are also popular activities for guests. With so many nature trails in the area, it is easy to go bird watching or go out trying to see if you can get a glimpse of some of the animals that call the area home.
Dogs are allowed in the campgrounds as long as they aren't aggressive or bothering others in the area. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. You should never leave your pet unattended in the campgrounds.
