Description
Paul Bunyan Campground is located in Bangor, Maine. This family-friendly campground is large, with eighty-eight campsites that are spacious and shaded. After Labor Day, the campground is not too crowded, but during the summertime, expect a lot of families with young children making noise levels higher than some other campgrounds.

You are just forty-five minutes from Acadia National Park and have access to many of Maine's natural wonders and beautiful landscape as well. You are close to Bangor Waterfront where there are many family and pet-friendly activities to partake in. Examples of events the campground hosts include Christmas in July, Halloween in August, 4th of July celebration, potluck dinners, free pancake breakfasts on Sundays, and so much more.

At the campground, you will have access to heaps of fun activities and many planned events that happen on the weekends. You will also have a dump station, a camp store with essential items, modern restrooms with flushing toilets and hot showers, a children's play area, recreational hall, paddle boat rentals for using on the pond, and a picnic shelter. Dogs are more than welcome to come to the campground with you, but they should wear their leash at all times. You should also bring poop bags so you can clean up after your dog to keep the grounds clean and sanitary for other guests and dogs. Make sure you have fresh water and a cool and comfortable place for your pup to sleep so they do not overheat!

Overall, Paul Bunyan Campground is in a location that is convenient for families looking for a small family getaway close to home and for travelers passing through the area. This may not be the best camping option if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, and secluded campground that offers scenic views and great hiking, so keep that in mind.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
