Description

Narrows Campground is a popular camping destination in Colorado. It rests in Roosevelt National Forest beside the Cache la Poudre River, and its amazing surroundings are sure to enchant you while you kick back and enjoy the fresh mountain air. In addition to beautiful scenery, the campground has well-kept amenities and a convenient location outside of Fort Collins. The campground is also situated near many recreation sites where you can explore the wealth of activities the region has to offer. Best of all, Narrows Campground is pet-friendly!

The campground is divided into two sections: Upper Narrows and Lower Narrows. Each of the campsites can accommodate up to eight people, and the nightly fee for a site is $21. There are great amenities throughout the campground, so you’ll have access to everything you need for a pleasant camping experience. They include picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, tent pads, and drinking water. Because the campground is surrounded by aspen and ponderosa pine trees, you will have plenty of shade.

You might want to check out some of the awesome recreation sites near the campground. The river next to the campground is a great spot for whitewater rafting, and anglers can catch a variety of trout there as well. If you enjoy hiking, you can stop by one of the area’s trailheads — Mt. McConnel, William R. Kreutzer, and Young Gulch are all good choices. Roosevelt National Forest has many exceptional wildlife viewing and birdwatching areas as well.

There are a few things to keep in mind while you’re staying at Narrows Campground. First, note that you are in an active bear area. You should exercise bear safety practices and maintain a clean campsite. If you’re planning on RV camping, note that water and utility hookups are not available.

You and your canine companion will be glad you chose Narrows Campground — it’s one of Colorado’s best!
