Description

Located in the picturesque lakes region of New Hampshire is a delightful campground with a welcoming attitude to folks traveling with pets. Newfound RV Park sits comfortably amongst a thicket of established, forest trees and offers fairly level, gravel sites at a daily rate of $40 to $60.

The host will gladly show new guests their site and help them get connected to electricity (30/50 amp), sewer, and water. This friendly welcome is the winning point of an RV park where the owners make every effort to ensure campers are enjoying their stay. Being able to chat to friends on your laptop and watch favorite channels on cable TV is included in the fee, along with a picnic table and fire ring.

Kids can enjoy a playground while the family pooch has their very own fenced pooch park for off-leash fun, in addition to trails leading into the woods. Outside the park, woofers are required to go back on-leash and practice good camping etiquette around other pups and their owners. Not all campgrounds have litter bags, so it pays to keep them in the RV and honor the standard campground rule of cleaning up pet waste.

This stylishly maintained park features clean restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities, as well as a convenient park store offering RV supplies, snacks, and firewood. A recreation area lets campers share holiday stories over a game of pool, while avid readers can swap their books and head for nearby Newfound Lake, an oil-painting-esque landscape with a sandy shore and crystal-clear waters. Folks staying at the park can swim, fish, kayak, or sunbathe on the shore.

Wellington State Park is a 5-minute drive and a hiker's haven, with the popular Big Sugar Loaf Trail just under 3 miles in length. The New England town of Bristol is 5 miles from the park, home to stately Victorian architecture and antique stores for the enthusiastic collector.

A downhill road off the highway sets you up at Newfound RV Park for a peaceful, entertaining stay. Being below the road acts as a buffer for traffic noise, ensuring a quiet ambiance at a park that operates from May to October.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
