Description

Featuring a family-friendly atmosphere with around 83 sites, a games room, a playground for the kids, a swimming pool, and a picturesque lake, Norwood Resort camp has all the charm of a classic campground where the hosts are always ready to help. The setting is heavenly with tall trees for shade and a well-maintained ambiance that attracts the camper who desires an up-scale experience with homey amenities. There is access to the internet, modern men’s and women’s restrooms plus showers and a laundromat. The roads are paved with a mix of gravel and dirt around the campsites.

If you're pulling up in the RV, there’s an instant hook up to electricity, sewer, wi-fi, and cable TV. You’ll experience a real camping atmosphere with Lake Tillery at your doorstep for fishing and the choice of staying in a tent, parking up the RV, or occupying one of the log-cabin accommodations.

It’s OK to bring your dog if you keep them on a leash no more than six feet and stick to the camp rules by picking up their waste and ensuring good behavior. There are forty acres of campground bliss with a pond for fishing and a general store, where everything but the kitchen sink is there. Propane, firewood, ice, and, of course, fishing bait are in stock so you can try your luck off the pier at the lake where catfish and bluegill are abundant. Boat rentals are available or you can launch your own from the boat ramp.

Situated on Morgan Mountain, the campground is a hive of activity in the summer season with outdoor activities designed with fun in mind. Getting back to nature is the best medicine for de-stressing as you inhale the relaxed vibe of this premium campsite that could be the creme de la crème of North Carolina.

If you are a fan of hiking there are the Carolina Thread trails or you could visit the Lake Tilley Equestrian center for a riding lesson. The town of Norwood is about three miles from the camp where the local museum walks the visitor through its early and fascinating history.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
