Peacock Meadows Riverside RV Park is a cozy little resort alongside the Rio Grande. They welcome traveling pet parents and their furry family members to take a load off at one of their 56 full hook-up sites equipped with 30 or 50 amp set-ups. For big-rigs that require more power, you can ask about their 100 amp spots.Â
One of Colorado’s few year-round RV sites, Peacock Meadows invites visitors to explore over seven acres of nature trails in the sun or snow! You can check out the private fishing pond on the property or venture outside the grounds the river’s edge. There is another small nature pond further in the grounds, which you can visit while walking the trails. Plus, there is a fenced-in dog run where your four-legged friend can run off-leash!Â
Rates for the park vary depending on the time of year you visit, as well as the type of site you will need. In the later months, from October to May, the daily rates start at $32 for back-in spot and $35 for a pull-through space. If you are planning to visit during the high season, between July and August, rates will be between $41 and $44. There is an additional $2 fee for 50 amp spots as well. No matter what time of year you visit, this is sure to be a furrific choice while traveling through South Fork.Â
Peacock Meadows welcomes you for as long as you'd like, with weekly and monthly rates available for those who plan to stick around. Enjoy picnic tables, fire pits, and spectacular views of the surrounding areas. There is also a full kitchen, private bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and satellite TV in the saloon -- but your pets will have to sit that one out. If you’re planning to adventure fur-ther, check out one of the many National Forests nearby! Remember to bring doggy bags, just in case, and keep Fido safely on a leash.
