Description

Reeder Bay Campground is an excellent destination for lakeside camping in Idaho. It sits beside the scenic Priest Lake in Idaho Panhandle National Forests. The campground’s setting is perfect, the amenities are top-notch, and the area has lots of great activities for you to enjoy throughout your stay. You can even bring your favorite canine camping buddy along with you since the campground is pet-friendly!

The campground has 24 campsites that can accommodate tents and RVs. The nightly fee for a standard site is $23, and there are also premium sites available for $25. However, note that there are no electric hookups available here. You’ll have access to a picnic table and fire ring at your site, and on the premises, you can also find drinking water, trash collection, and restrooms.

There are lots of ways to spend your time while you’re staying at Reeder Bay Campground. You can use the neighboring lake for boating, fishing, and swimming — it's known for its remarkably clear water, making it the pawfect place to snap a cute puppy pic! You can also visit some of the area’s trails to hike or view the diverse wildlife native to the region. Many of these trails can be found around the lake, like the Upper Priest Lake Trail. This trail is about ten miles through the woods, and it is a relatively easy hike with little change in elevation. It can get muddy during the spring, so plan accordingly!

There are a few things you should keep in mind while you’re staying at Reeder Bay Campground. Please respect the campground’s on-leash policy for dogs. Also, remember to clean up after your dog, whether you're at the campground or out exploring. Remember that bears and other big beasts live in this region; you should take the necessary safety measures concerning food storage and disposal.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
