In the area, there are many natural wonders to go and see! You can go fishing at Woods Canyon Lake or rent a kayak and float around on the lake - sunbathing and relaxing. There are also lots of hiking trails in the region that are perfect for taking your dog with you for some fun and exercise during your camping trip. Of course, you can go sightseeing at the Mogollon Rim, where you will have a spectacular view of the area for over 100 miles.
The actual campground is comprised of dirt, some grass, and a decent amount of trees that provide some shade and relief from the sun. However, many of the campsites are mostly or partially in the sun. You will have access to a campfire ring, grill, and picnic table at each site. There are places for tents, trailers, and RVs depending on what type of camping you prefer. Additional amenities at the site include vault toilets, fresh drinking water, a camp host, and trash services. Dogs are welcome at the campground, but they should be kept on a leash at all times. You are required to pick up after your dog goes potty and discard the bags properly as well.
Overall, Rim Campground is in a peaceful location away from roads and boasts some of the best views of the rim in the region. We are confident you and your pup will love your time here.
